B.A. Acting
Course Overview
This is a unique acting program with a liberal and creative arts foundation, comprising courses aligned to existing and emerging industry demands. Students are provided training in myriad careers in acting – performance, research and teaching – with greater emphasis on honing practical skills in local and international performance forms. The teaching pedagogy encompasses field experience and life projects. Students are encouraged to do performance internships and live acts, along with the curricular training to gain real-world experience and insight. Theatre history and evolution, film and television acting techniques, production and audition techniques, script writing and analysis, voice and movements, skit and street plays, acting for OTT and web series, training in music and dance are part of the curriculum. The school is dedicated towards preparing students for existing and emerging trends in the space of performing arts and acting for films, along with psychological training in coping with the uncertainties of a high-on glamour and expectations driven performance calling.
